Question

I've have just recently updated my machine to the new Win8.1. After updating I noticed that my Wifi isn't working properly as before. I've updated all the drivers listed in the Lenovo support site. I've also attempted to uninstall and reinstall the drivers in safe mode and normal mode and the Wifi issue still persist.

Is there a way I can get my Wifi connection working properly as before?

Answer

In this type of situation, we advised to try to locate an older version of the drivers should the drivers listed in the support page does not work for you. In order to do this please follow the steps below.

  •  Open Device Manager
  •  Select 'Network adaptors' and then open (double-click) Broadcom 802.11n Network Adaptor
  •  Go to the Driver tab and click the Update Driver... button
  •  Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'
  •  Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'
  •  Select the "Broadcom 802.11n Network Adaptor (Broadcom)" entry from the list, and click Next

If after updating and you're still facing issues with the wireless, please review the following articles on our support site:
