Z580 touchpad doesn't work.

I have an Ideapad Z580 Windows 7. The touchpad isn't working. I installed the driver restarted the laptop and it works fine. When I close the laptop or shut it down, and turn it back on, the touchpad completely stops working. I've tried the US and the chinese driver, the Intelligent touchpad dirver. Everything else works but the touchpad.

 

I usually stick with HP. But I saw Lenovo in Transformers and said why not it's good enough for them.

 

I don't know what to do now. So frustrated.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Lenovo Community,

 

Am sorry to hear about your issue,

 

I’d like to ask you to press on FN + F6 together to make sure that the touchpad is enabled if still the same,

 

Maybe you can try to start the recovery for the system through the one key recovery button which is going to return the machine back to the initial state like a new machine,

 

But please take a backup from your data before starting in the recovery and please check the below link for the One key recovery:

I did the One Key Recovery it work for about 2 minutes then stoped. I Press Fn + F6 a few times, and each time still didn't work, a little icon in the right bottom corner pops up(which it didn't pop up before the Recovery) but touchpad still doesn't work.

Is there anything esle I can do.

Thanks for posting. Based from your post this is more of a H/W conflict rather than an issue that we can address with a simple driver update. At this pointI would suggest you to contact our support team and get your machine to be rectified through service. Upon calling you can inform them of the document ID below to refer to.
