I recently got the Z580 and since I've had it, there have been problems with connectivity. The main problem is that it disconnects after going to sleep, as well as sometimes not connecting automatically when I turn it on.
When either of these things happen, it won't connect at all (even with troubleshooting - windows thinks it's a problem with the router but it definitely isn't) until I restart the laptop, and sometimes I have to do this twice.
I have already changed the power settings on the network adaptors to prevent them from turning themselves off in sleep mode, and I've changed the roaming tendency to aggressive but it hasn't solved the problem. Any ideas?
FYI, I am not very knowledgeable in this area, so I would appreciate clear instructions if any are given.
Thanks very much.

Same issue that you are having,
Resolution was to disable a tray Icon,
Press Windows button + R >to launch a run box
Type msconfig then hit enter
Go to startup tab and click on Open task manager,
You will have a list of startup items and look for Bluetooth Tray Application
right click on that and choose Disable.
Try restarting and try to trigger a sleep and see if it works.
Hope this helps,

Hi there, I've disabled the bluetooth tray and it helped for a few days but it's started to happen again - I've checked no settings have changed, but in the past hour it's happened twice. I've looked on all the similar forums I can find but with no joy.

I would Suggest doing these two steps and see if this works,
Disable the Option turn Powersave the Wifi you can find the stepshere.
- And this option that have worked for few units here -
Disable Hybrid Sleep
Go to Control Panel and Power Options
Under power options you will see your power plans and one of them is selected as or being used and to it's left click the "Change plan settings' Sample
-Then click on Change advanced settings Sample
- Open the Sleep option then open Allow Hybrid sleep, Turn it off on battery and while plugged in Sample
see if this options works.
Hope this helps,

Please refer to my last post. I had deactivated the bluetooth tray application and energy saver application both in start up. That helped me for some days to get the wifi connection quick. But now again the same problem has reoccured. i.e. the wifi is not connecting for a very long duration after switching on laptop. once its on then its not cutting off. but initial connection is taking too long time.
I checked from the sttart up menu. nothing has changed.
In the wifi drivers i am seeing two names. is it a problem.

Did you resolve this problem?
I'm having exactly the same issues with my z580.
If you've solved please let me know, before I throw this laptop out the window (I wont actually do that, I'll return it to the store)
