Re: can't access UEFI BIOS menu and BOOT menu on my lenovo z580 laptop

hi sivasandeep99,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

If you have tried FN+F2 when boot?

Or holding down Shift and clicking restart?

If those steps did not work either,  You might need to contact Lenovo Technical Support and have the system shipped to Repair Facility for BIOS Reflash.

Found this article but it is for the same model that has same issue like yours.

Re: can't access UEFI BIOS menu and BOOT menu on my lenovo z580 laptop

I have a solution to the BIOS problem. I'll run this laptop into the ground the way it is (it does work); after which, I will never buy Lenovo again. Poor, poor, poor technical support. These people would rather sell you a new computer than help you solve a problem with an old computer. The rest of my remarks aren't for publication.

The link goes to a site that requires "authentication."  Apparently us users (read "customers") aren't allowed to see this.  We just suffer the loss.

Re: can't access UEFI BIOS menu and BOOT menu on my lenovo z580 laptop

I'm beginning to agree.  I know that I'm just a home user.  In the world of corporate sales of Thinkpads, by three Lenovos are pretty insignificant.  But I'm thinking that my next computer will probably be a Dell.  They offer a computer with a Linux preload and that computer will see the scrapyard before it ever gets anything Microsoft installed on it.  Alternative, of course, is to go to Apple.

As you can tell, I'm really impressed with the concern that I feel from Lenovo on this.
