eGPU through M.2 port on a Y510p

Has anyone done this? I see people buying these M.2 to PCIe adapters, Linus said you only lose a 10% or so of efficiency over regular PCIe

I know there are some ultrabay hacks but it looks way too complicated for me.

Hi dudebrino,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

There are some that made it a DIY project that you may have crossed with in your research. Here and here are third party discussion to your query that you can reference with.

Ideally it is an ultrabay graphics that was intended for such model as discussed here.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards
