OK. Clearly I screwed this up. I have a Y530 and tried to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7.
I was attempting to do a clean install. On my laptop the C drive is the larger drive and the D drive is the smaller drive. I assumed from what I read on Lenovo's site and these forums that mean the D drive should have been the one that contained the Operating System.
So I selected the D drive to do a clean install when prompted by Windows. Well now when I power on I get the option to boot Vista or 7, so clearly Vista was on the C. So now it looks like I have W7 on the D and Vista and all my files on the C.
How can I get rid of Vista at this point? Is there a way to just delete it off the C drive?
