Re: frequent blue screen error

Hi chiru10,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to hear that there is BSOD (Blue Screen Error Of Death) error occurring in the computer even after the Ram, Motherboard is replaced and the OS (Operating System) is re-installed, performing BIOS reset should resolve the issue and also scan the HDD (Hard Disk Drive) for any bad sectors.

  • Shut down the computer completely.
  • Then press the Novo button and then select BIOS Setup (Click here for BIOS simulation).
  • Then to reset the BIOS to its defaults click on “F9” Key and select YES.
  • Now Click on “F10” Key to safe the changes that are done in BIOS, restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

NOTE: Click here to download the user guide for Z580 Laptop and refer page no. 2 and locate the NOVO button.

  • Scan the HDD using : HD TuneIf the issue persists even after performing the BIOS reset, I would Strongly Suggest Calling Technical Support for Assistance.

Click here to open a link where you can select the country and get the exact contact support number.I’m sure they will be a great help.

Hope this helps!!!

Do post us back if issue persists again

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Re: frequent blue screen error

My P70 w/17", m600m win 7pro, upgradable to 10 "was" having bsod errors; however, now windows won't load. I recently (2 weeks ago) replaced hdd w/ ssd using migration program, all was well, thinking this would fix the bsod, "wrong". Have AVG internet security, SB search and destroy w/anti-virus, Bluehell firewall. All up-to-date.

Windows boot manager (wbm)

status; 0Xc000000f

info; the boot selection failed because- blah, blahblah

pressing continue three times brings up < \efi\microsoft\boot\bcd > press continue a 4th then it tries to establish a link, of course there's nothing to link with, idk how that would work unless it tries to look for a server w/restore/recue files.

I tried my back-up disks (missing last disk), no luck and have a sys image on external hdd won't boot. I used Lenovos hardware manager everything checks out. With the win key stored in bios, unable to utilize win 7 reinstall. Most info on web assumes you can navigate to command prompt or can navigate to sys restore. I tried creating a rescue disk from my sisters comp; however, she has win 10home of course it didn't work.

All I want is to download repair files to fix my computer. Unable to get beyond "Windows won't load".
