ideapad Y530: is there a way to read camera card?

I just bought an ideapad y530.  I have a CAnon S45 powershot camera, that normally uploads photos via a cable. I have since learned that windows vista does not support the driver for the upload process, but the canon website suggested a cardreader might upload without the cable.  I have a card slot on this computer but it is too small to accept the card from my camera. the card is a Lexar media card 64MB, it has a 4x in the upper corner and is about 4.2 cm wide on the face that interacts w/ computer. My card reader slot says: MMC MS MSpro SD SDpro xD.  I am guessing that once again technology has left me in the dust with an obsolete (at least for vista and Lenovo) camera.  Is there any way I could adapt the computer so I could still use my camera? Hope someone can help.  thanks Judy

Re: ideapad Y530: is there a way to read camera card?

I found this.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820270006

Looks like it will stick out so unless you have a bag / backpack with enough room to leave the card inserted maybe an external would be just as good.

 here is a usb.  http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=JU-CF0122

Or one of many external card readers found on new egg should work.

  this one seems nice  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208397
