Re: ideapad Z570 - screen gone purple/pink

You dont have to change it. First you take off the cable and then put it back on and see if the problem is fixed

Re: ideapad Z570 - screen gone purple/pink

Hi samanta ,

You may also take a review of the hardware manual guide for reseating the cable (page 62).

But if you don't have the tools or experience in disassembly , best to have it checked on any service repair center in your place as they can also check further on which area is affected (as this may be a cable issue , a cable port , LCD or compressed areas .

For the LCD and cable part number , you can check it on the parts lookup page matching it with the FRU parts list on the manual.

Regards

Re: ideapad Z570 - screen gone purple/pink

With the laptop on, carefully move the cable a bit, to see if the screen changes color, especially at the point where the cable bends (at the lid hinges)

Re: ideapad Z570 - screen gone purple/pink

Hi samanta ,

Greetings.

Printscreen /screen capture do not share the discoloration as external monitor so it would be more of isolated on the LCD / Cable/port so it's not a graphic chipset issue. Power conditions with battery may not directly cause this.

Common cause would be impinged cable , external forces on the LCD or LCD failure itself.

Regards
