keyboard fails while gaming

2010-12-15, 20:00 PM

Well I'm not good in English but I'll try to explain my trouble. I have Ideapad Y560 (i7-740QM (1.73GHz), ATI™ Mobility Radeon™ HD 5730 1GB etc.), I got it yesterday by the way.
So I've downloaded 2 games (Half-life 2: Episode One and Two, Mafia II) from STEAM. The graphic, sound - everything seemed very nice.
But my keyboard controls (such as W - move towards, A- move left etc) didn't work. I've tried to change them through game menu>options>Controls. Everytime I pressed any letter on my keyboard I saw the number instead of a letter. For example, I press "W" and it gives me "1", I press "R" and it gives me "2", I press "W" again it gives "3" .
But command buttons work (shift, ctrl etc.)
Num lock is off.

When I surf the web, use applications everything works properly.

Sorry for my English:((:robothappy:

prevent gid application from starting up:
click start > click run > type "msconfig" > select "startup" tab > unchecked gid desktop application > press ok then reboot laptop.

or

un-install gid application from windows:
click start > click control panel > click add / remove programs > search for "gid" / "gid desktop application > select the item and select un-install > reboot when un-installation is done.
