lenovo idepad z510 touchpad problem

[ Edited ]

Hi expert.
my problem when i want to choose or highlight part of text i can't highlight if i press easy on touchpad, but when i press hard i can select the text that i want it.
i used synaptic pointing device.
i guess the problem maybe the touchpad not sufficient sensitive or there is drawback in touchpad it self.
please your advice.

Re: lenovo idepad z510 touchpad problem

Hi there, Ali    -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Do both left and right-clicking require a great deal of force? You could also try installing the latest Synaptic driver and see if that helps at all.

Check if there are any dust particulars accumulated. Click here for HMM

Update us how it goes.

Re: lenovo idepad z510 touchpad problem

Thanks for the fast response.

Yes, both left and right-clicking require a great deal of force, but left need more force.

I am using windows 8.1 and i tried to install and reinstall mor than once time

Touchpad Driver (Synaptics, Elan) for Windows 8.1 (64-bit) – IdeaPad Z410, Z510

about 'dust particulars accumulated', I dont think because i notice the problem after one month from purchase date.
