lenovo y70-70 splash on the screen

i had issues with my screen it had like splash like the photo.. but less .. only had few lines.. it happen everything when i turn on my laptop for 1 minute after that screen still working fine.. if i turn off and turn on after few a hours it started with the same issues.. i found in this:


Causes of display failures:

  • Monitor is not on                                              -? for real i saw the line and my monitor isnt on jaja
  • Computer is asleep                                          -????? i never put my laptop in this mode.... just on or off.
  • Connections not properly connected          -it was working fine just few days ago i started had this issues. also i                                                                                        checked the port and is fine
  • Monitor settings are not correct                    -mmmm I put all my laptop default setting.. and nothing
  • No POST (power-on-self-test)                       - ?? i dont understand this jajaja my english is suck
  • Hardware Issue                                                 - i think this is my problem but i dont know i able to replace the video                                                                                     card?


my warranty expired just 2 moths ago and now i had this issue jajajaja. i check from the website lenovo.. scan and everything is ok.. so i dont know ??      any recommendation ?

Welcome to the Community Forums.


You may check how the display is on another monitor.

Turn off the machine and power on using the novo button (page 62) to access the BIOS set up screen and compare the screen.

If you have the same distorted display in the BIOS screen but show fine on an external monitor then probably LCD /cable may be the issue and would be best attended with your local service center.
