My computer has been acting very slow. I was going to reboot but it froze. I held down the on/off button. When it came back up the screen is telling me to use the boot device. I have stried to start with F2 and F11 and F8. i don't know what else to do. I also looked at the hard drive, took it out and reinserted. Any ideas? Thank you.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.
It looks like there's a possible bad sectors on the hard drive and the only way to find out is to run a hardware scan on the HDD. I personally use UltimateBootCD (www.ultimatebootcd.com) for the diagnostics. Video usage here.and here. Click here for details or:follow the stes below:
1. Download the the UBCD ISO (www.ultimatebootcd.com)
2. Burn the ISO using imgburn
3. Insert the CD that you just created into the defective computer and reboot
4. Upon reboot, continuously press F12 and boot from the ODD/CD-DVD
To burn the diagnostic softwre on a flashdrive, follow this guide
If you find any errors, you will need to change the HDD. If don't have a recovery or restore disc, you can obtain one by contacting the Lenovo Technical Suport. Support phone list here.
Hope this helps
