result code WVC007002-UL7YQK

My computer is Ideapad y700

I just found a error from the Lenovo Solution Center

 

My graphic card: intel(R) HD graphics 530 failed the hardware test

 

what should I do to solve it?

Hi SIM03N ,

 

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

It may be that you just need to update your intel HD graphics 530 driver. 

You can download and update it from the lenovo support site or directly from intel .

 

You can re run the LSC using the updated version .

 

For the decoding of WVC007002-UL7YQK youmay need to call in tech support for the meaning on the failed test  code 002 on the Video card, most specially if you have intermittent display issue like flashing where updating the BIOS would be helpful.

Hi,

 

I also have an Intel 530 graphics card problem. I'm not sure the result code is the same as Simon3n's but I do have a case #8007678132 and I've been left with a mess on my hands. I got the error message - something about a mathematical test failing. I went to the support site and entered my info to start a case. I got an email back to set up a phone call with support, which I did.

 

During the call, the support person logged into my Ideapad 700 remotely and installed a new Intel driver and a new Nvidia driver. Unfortunately, now the computer won't boot except in safe mode. I've back up my files, but I am told that the only solution is to reinstall the OS. As far as I am concerned that is not an acceptable answer. I was also told that I could pay for premium support, but that would cost me. This is for a machine that still has almost 300 days of warranty left on it and for a problem that the support team seems to have created. And I've lost 2 days of work. Not what I expected from Lenovo.

Hi jbaker2525 , 

 

If the system works fine in safe mode , then a driver rollback or getting an older driver version from D:Lenovo folder or from the manufacturer website would help fix the issue .
