I installed windows server 2012 R2 into a VHD as a dual boot os as guided here:
Now i encountered a few driver problems - the major one is the network driver. I enabled the WIFI feature and desktop experience via the features and rolles, yet the network controller is not recognized in the device manager.
I tried to download intel network driver from here:
but it wont install, says "no intel (r) adapters are present in this computer".
Just for the sport, I tried to install the graphic and audio driver [which are less important to me] downloaded from this site, here:
and yet nothing, here I get "This computer does not meet minimum requirements for installing software".
When I boot to the windows 8.1 os - everything works perfect.
Any suggestions? I know older and cheaper laptops can ran server 2012, it seems wierd this high-quality one [again, y50-70 touch] cant, I really hope i'm doing somthing wrong that can be fixed,

ok so I made it!
After downloading the service 2012 R2 drivers from lenovo site [as posted above in original post] I realized that "thinkserver" is actually another PC type made by lenovo, thought its a sofwter or somthing.. so after trying drivers from other sites [like intel's site as posted above again] nothing worked, Next thing i did was to enter lenovo site again, and looked for my laptop type [y50-70] to see all the drivers which are supported. Here is the link:
As you can see there is no server 2012 supported drivers, so I went for the windows 8.1 64 bit. First I downloaded the chipset driver as LenBlazer suggested, then the WLAN driver.. and vuallah ! wifi works perfect after rebooting
of course, I enabled wifi feature via server manager before, here is a link how to do it:
After that, I downloaded the video driver which included the audio driver too. Installing succeeded and I had all the video card options but sound still did't work, so I figured It has to be enabled like the wifi, but this time via the control panel. Search google for how to do it
hope this time it wont be erased!
