@ TheStingray... I fear you have a different issue then the one discussed in this thread,
please have a look at the following, may find some useful hints there...
@ Diazman... a very interesting find, but I suggest you to leave the Battery connected all the time anyway,
at 80% charge level of course, so it can function as UPS in case of a brownout.
@ Wschan... I have tried to run Win XP-32bit with BIOS ver. 3FCN17WW64, it worked OK without apparent
problems but I didn't test it thoroughly, so if you want to play safe I would use the
" Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery disabled in Device Manager"
workaround instead (hope its there in XP as well).

need BIOS ver. 3FCN17WW64
and i also need BIOS flashing utility with BIOS 3FCN1&WW64

Please give a short description of your sound issue and how you determined the BIOS as the culprit,
I'm just curious and like to learn something out of it.

Hi Zehn ,wow! so quick reply.I was in thailand 25 days ago. bought y460p from pantip 26,990 baht. i7 2720qm 2.2 .Now i m in India.
Like other friends having problem with sound drop or like crack noise every 60 sec and i have the same problem. when i play music i do get sound drop or like crack noise every 60 sec and its anyyoing..
just wanted to know if i back to older BIOS version. Do my lappy perform same with all inbuilt features? so no harm?

Hi Wasi... BIOS sent, please confirm if received complete, some e-mail provider don't forward EXE files!

Many thanks mate , I got Bios complete indeed hahaha. yep few email providers do show exe file as virus lol thx for convertin to rar file
Its midnight here i will flash BIOS tomorrow will let u know about the problem fixed or not.
