y430 No dolby home settings avaliable with provided XP drivers

FOR XP Only

theres no way to adjust the equalizer settings with thermal buttons and no subwoofer control.  I installed drivers on the site and it doesnt work, drivers in D drive didnt work either.  I did see a post telling people to install realtek audio drivers to get this so far there's none out there that i stumbled on has work.

Hopefully someone can help.

Re: y430 No dolby home settings avaliable with provided XP drivers

My Y430-1 has a Conexant HDAudio, so, subwoofer doesn't works in XP SP3.

I have a  Digital Speaker checkbox in windows audio mixer, but "Low freq" slider is not available.

Also "Dolby" button doesn't works.

Re: y430 No dolby home settings avaliable with provided XP drivers

Hey all, so I just picked up a new Y430, I am a pretty faithful thinkpad user for mobiles, and I am beginning to get a little nervous about this. I have a 64bit vista OS on here now, (4G of ram) and well...I have alot of expierence with vista, and I won't use it. Has anyone actually gotten all the features on this to wrok under XP?? or even better any flavor of linux?

Any help would be appreciated.
