So, you all want new BIOS. All of you. And only some ofyou mention wha you want to have there.
So,please write distinctly what do you want to see in new BIOS - it will helptech teams to make one.
Regarding fan - try switching to another power scheme than Performance - seems like your laptop doesn't need to run on full speed.
Regarding beeper - it is turned off in settings of adio playback devices in Control Panel -> Audio.

Changing the volume settings in control panel, is a crap of idea. You are turning off system speaker to avoid the adapter noice, which means until u turn it on, you will not be able to hear anything.
The idea sounds like cutting a hand when figure is in pain. BIOS upgrade is the only solution. FYI, this is a well known problem in Lenovo laptops and you can see many discussions about this on the internet.

You will not be able to hear all beep sounds - isn't that a requested thing? If you want to hear beeps but want them to be quiter you also can make it not so loud if you wish in that same settings tab. At least try this before merely writing anything against it - otherwise it sounds like cutting an idea before starting to think it through.
FYI in laptops that have ths option in BIOS it can't be turned off from Vista Sound interface and turning off in BIOS makes all beep sounds unavailable - just as muting it in Y430 by Windows Interface.

not sure if its too late to reply this...yes so what is expected is not getting the annoying noise when plug/unplug the adapter AND sound/beeps from other applications should not get disabled.
if you have any solution, I would appreciate

Non-support by Lenovo for the Y430 isn't new. They barely support it at all. For those of us who have gone onto Win7 for our Y430s and are using x64 bit OS we can't get any support at all!
I, like a growing number of Y430 uses have learned my lesson and will never buy another Lenovo product again!
No support means No customer!
