got my y510p a few weeks ago. Sadly I noticed a high frequent sound coming from the area, where the power supply is located. I tested many things and found out that it has to do with how far up or down you put the display brightness. There is a diffenrent sound with every setting. As I did some research I read that it could have to do with the voltage regulator. The only way I can get rid of the sound is turning the display off or setting it to maximum brightness (and additional the integrated gpu to maximum performance).
Did someone else notice that problem? What can I do?
All the best!

Also I noticed, the sound starts after booting up Windows 7. In Bios or DOS, no soun after all. So I assume it is some software related thing. Do Windows 8 users have the same issue?
