i was using battery gauge reset on my lenovo y510p, when battery discharged and laptop shutdown since then the laptop is not charging normally as it use to be, it doesn't charge when the battery is connected. the only way i can make it charge is when i unplug the battery plug in AC adapter and after that first unplug the brick from its socket and replug it again after that i press power button (battery still not connected) then it starts and after that i connect the battery while its ON then it charges.
BUT i have to do this all over again and again to make it charge.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
