y550HD blown speaker

I think I may have damaged the subwoofer in my y550HD, but i don't think it was near full volume.  Now if i turn up the volume just a little bit then the woofer sounds really bad.  Has anyone else have this happen?  Could this be a speaker inbalance similar to the y510's?  Is there anyway I can fix this on my own?

Re: y550HD blown speaker

I do not recommend attempting the repair on your own, if anything
call the support center at 877-453-6686 and see if the machine is under
warranty, if it is it should be covered under your factory warranty. Please make
sure that you don't modify the computer as it may void your factory warranty.

Re: y550HD blown speaker

It's barely any kind of imbalance thing, these bottom-speakers just have very limited specre of playable freqwences, so you their input in sound is not as good as expected. You can maximize volume, run any music and just touch this "woofer" by finger - you'll find out whether it works or not.
