y550p Color Calibration settings ignored after restart

2010-02-10, 19:37 PM

I use the color calibration manager in windows, and its fine. But whenever i restart, the colors turn bright and ignores the previous settings. What is the problem here? Bright as meaning yellows turn annoyingly thin, and u could barely distinguish white. Example I can't even see the lined boxes of the outline of this text box with the restarted settings. Frustrating.

I disabled the onekey feature too and everything's worked fine ever since.  It was a pretty useless feature anyway but yeah it was a bit annoying.   Honestly I would have rather they wouldn't have any features like that in the first place or if they were going to add them (thus adding to the cost of the laptop) to at least test it right, but what can ya do?

Fixed using system Restore.. It seems it was a problem with either the Bios Update or the Nvidia Update I downloaded... I won't update. :P

remove synaptics pointing and let windows install it if needed.

( or install latest drivers from here )

updating your graphic drivers may fix your issue.

for the settings, remember to activate nvidia control panel in control panel.

there is a control panel ( nvidia icon ) for nvidia graphics in windows control panel. try to active it.

( default is windows display settings, if you change controller for nvidia, it may work )

Same problem here. Newest drivers, I even enable use the nvidia control panel to use the Nvidia settings and as soon as i reboot back to the same crap. I shouldn't have to system restore to fix this either...
