Haven't had a chance yet to install the NVIDIA drivers that you recommended, but would that even make a difference? When you go into the NVIDIA control panel, it shows that the Intel integrated graphics are what's hooked up to the VGA port, not the Dedicated graphics card. I have to use the dual monitor settings as "extended" when hooked up the projector in order to run the worship software that we use for church.
Also, the pastor just texted me before the church service started and said that the screen flashes on and off and doesn't work when he tries any resolution higher than 1280x1024. (the projector is only a year and a half old and has widescreen projection capabilities - our previous laptop could project wide screen)
