The disassembly is actually complicated and a bit risky. You'll need to disassemble keyboard first, then cd compartment and after that you can open the bottom case. You can search for the video for disassembly tutorial on youtube. If you cannot found z510, you can refer to z500 video. It's basically the same steps. Be careful if you decide to do it yourself and Good Luck.

I recently upgraded my Z510 to 16GB of ram and so far it's working great. Make sure to get DDR3L (1.35v) ram.

Yes, I installed it myself. If you're familiar with disassembling laptops, it's a simple process with one annoying step. You must be gentle and have a lot of patience when popping the plastic tabs that hold the case together. Check the video below.
