z570 touchpad is going to make me send this thing back- HELP!

Good morning, all!

Has ANYone had issues with the touchpad? From what I can, tell my Synaptcis driver is up to date.

JUST got my laptop delivered from Costco.

LOVE everything...............but this touchpad.  It's driving me nuts.

Very skittish(is that a word? Smiley Happy  Misses some of my initial touches to the pad,

*****and my BIGGEST ISSUE- when scrolling using the side of the touchpad: when I let up, it jumps a little back in the opposite direction.

Has anyone else had this experience, or should I send this back for a replacement?

Th in advance!!

If you have a mouse around, I would try uninstalling the driver, rebooting and letting windows apply some default drivers to it. It'll lose some functionality, but you should be able to see whether the skittish behaviour exists there also. If so, I would guess hardware... but either way, then reinstall the full synaptics touchpad drivers and see what that does also.

I don't want to lose functionality.

Does ANYone else have this issue, or is it possible I purchased a dud and need to return?
