Hi I have a three year old i5 64 bit z580 running windows 10.
The fan seems to have stopped working and the laptop overheating. When I run the dust removal the fan still does not work. I have inspected it and can spin it mannually and it isnt dirty. It doesnt spin at all though not even on boot up - i have turned it on with the bottom cover off so definitely not spinning.
I have run Speedfan which doesnt show any info on the fan and Im not getting any error messages so I decided to look at bios and see if I could see any issue.
However this doesnt seem possible.
The onekey facility wont work while running or from boot up even after removing battery and holding in the power button.
None of the function keys access it.
The settings, recovery etc way into the uefi bios settings will reboot then offer to access bios before booting as normal.
I have tried all this with the quick boot options turned off too.

Hi Irishz580 ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Doing the One Key Recovery using the novo button would delete all files and reimage the entire pc back to the factory image. It would be accessed while the pc is off and using it to turn on the laptop . Novo menu would offer One key recovery from initial back up.
Take note also of Lenovo Windows 10 compatible models:
listed computer models include hardware components not fully compatible with Windows 10. Therefore, upgrading these models to Windows 10 is not recommended.
This a such would still not limit users from the upgrade but just to imply some features not available.
BIOS firmware itself do not have option for fan as is pre programmed on itself to do it as needed and still suppose to work even outside Windows ( like just in the BIOS) .
As such you may want to try the OKR to revert to Windows 8 to check the functionality of the fan whether this is a hardware issue and that you can check with the nearest repair center.
Update us how it goes best for you.
