z580 keyboard problem

I used my z580 already 2 years. In these few days, I found that when I type 't", "v", "y", "m", "b" harder, sometimes it will become "+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++". I I go to a website for checking keyboard, and realise that the num pad "+" is using. Disable the num pad isn't solve the problem. It is very annoying that while I am typing fast, "+" is keep showing. I change SSD last week, I am not sure is this issue related to SSD.
I tried to keep pressing the power button for 20 second without battery and charger, doesn't work.

Re: z580 keyboard problem

hi xx456322

Welcome to the Forums.

I don't think the SSD upgrade caused the issue.

If you look at the NumPad "+" key, does it look stucked when it's pressed? If it is then that's likely the issue.

Things that you can try:

1. Clean the key with compressed air

2. Remap the key (or disable it) by using Sharpkeys or similar utility.

Article:

Map Any Key to Any Key on Windows 10, 8, 7, or Vista

3. If the key is stucked or malfunctioning, you can replace the key by buying parts online (e.g., laptopkey.com)

Let me know if this works for you.
