After publishing updates from the Lenovo Patch for SCCM plugin and deploying the updates using SCCM, the client computer receives an error on installation: 0x800B0109(-2146762487).  The error is found in the More Information section of the Update from Software Center.



There are two parts to the resolution:

  1. Make sure the Code Signing certificate is applied to each client computer.  The certificate will need to be installed to the following certificate stores:
    • Trusted Publishers certificate store
    • Trusted Root Certificate Authorities certificate store
  2. Make sure the Allowed signed updates from an intranet Microsoft update service location policy setting is set to Enabled on each client computers.
