Scheduled Tasks

2020-03-23, 8:19 AM

I have created Scheduled Tasks which downloads updates from the Composite Filter (Shared), unfortunately it only downloads one update instead of all available updates.

Settings:
- Description: (Description Name of schduled Tasks)
- Schedule: (Daily: Sunday, 06:00 PM)
- Options: Accept all metadata updates in the catalog
- Publish the updates selected by this filter: (Composite Filter: Shared)
- Do not add updates to a Software Update Group (enabled)

Version:  2.4.34114.0

Is this a known problem, or would I need to change the settings?

Thank you.

@Sdidi ,

If you pull up the shared filter, how many updates show up that are unpublished?

Hi,

Currently 78 updates are available with the Composite Filter.
Last week there were about 60 updates.

The Filter is created to filter the hardware types first and then the driver criteria:

@Sdidi

It should download and publish all updates that are not currently published.  Can you provide the Autopublish.log file to me?  I apologize for the delay, but I am not getting notifications and must have missed your note.

Sure, how can I send you the Autopublish.log file without it being public? On the logfile I see that it performs a scan and downloads, packages and publishes the first update. After that there is an error message: An error occurred accessing the database. Please validate the database configuration.

I've rebuilt the DB and the permissions dbdatareader and dbdatawriter are set.
Does it need another permission?

Update: I have now created the scheduled task with my admin account, and it works. Are there any other permissions to consider within SCCM? We have created the scheduled task with the network access account, and it does not work even though the DB permissions are set. I did it the same way as on page:10 (User Guide). Thanks.
