Is anyone else having problems with the DCSC latency?
Since late yesterday, any time you update the configuration it takes 3-5 minutes... I tried a reboot, and a different browser.
I sent an email tot he salesconfig team to see if they can look into it, and haven't heard anything back yet.

I was having issues with the online DCSC as well, this morning it was taking a long long time to "update config" and at the end when I went to summary it threw up an error and I lost my build. I used the offline DCSC.
Having said that, it's likely a backend issue because connectivity wise, I don't see any issue as I track this and several other Lenovo sites.

Hello, yes, I've seen some reports from users that they are having issues with online DCSC. The DCSC went through the weekly update on Monday night / Tuesday morning, so this may be residual from that.
Are you using the HTTP URL or the HTTPS URL?
Are you launching the DCSC from within LPN?
If the problem persists or happens again, try using the following URL: http://us-dcsc.lenovo.com/#/
Hopefully all is OK now. I've been using DCSC off and on over the day and haven't seen an issue.

-I was using http URL; shortest path to the tool, always
(for tracking response time I also look at http - I have added https as well, we'll see if it's any different)
-Not launching from within LPN; shortest path wins again; I only launch from LPN when I need to do special builds
What's the difference between us-dcsc.lenovo.com/#/ and dcsc.lenovo.com/#/? Wouldn't the 1 URL just transparently load balance on the backend? Does the US prefix prioritize to to the NA server (if there is one)?
Why the hashtag? Even if I go to dcsc.lenovo.com it automatically redirects to dcsc.lenovo.com/#/.
Will give it a go tomorrow, I used the offline version for the remainder of the day and it was working fine.
>I prefer the offline version as it allows me to set the country and not need to count on cookies to set this for me on the online version, often it defaults to US and I don't notice till the end; would be super awesome to switch countries on the fly (I'm sure this is coming!)
>>Props on getting copy/paste enabled on the offline version, very very helpful!!! Thank you to the DCSC team!

Hi Cristian, Happy New Year!
I am not sure if there is much of a difference between http and https, but users wanted a secure URL. Yes, the us-dcsc is a NA dedicated server, as oppsed to getting a connection to whatever server when using 'normal' dcsc URL.
Next time you have a latency issue, please try the us-dcsc and let me know if that helped.
Good to hear you use and like the offline version. I will let the team know that they get a kudo for allowing cut and paste. Thank-you for the positive feedback!

dcsc.lenovo.com automatically sends users to the closest data center based on where they are (we have multiple centers WW). The us-dcsc just forces you to go to the US server -- there's no difference and no reason you should go to that URL.
Our testing shows that https is currently slightly slower than http, but we're working on closing that gap.
