Hi All,

I would need your update regarding the sound issue, could you please notify us, if the issue still persists? Could you please describe how the clock operates now?

thanks,Zuzana

It's still a problem. My alarm clock fails over 50% of the time. It's totally unreliable and worse than ever. It's more difficult to tell if my daughter's clock is quite as bad, as she's on school holidays at the moment, so does not need to be up so early.

Rebooting sometimes fixes it briefly. It makes no difference whether or not the USB port has anything plugged into it. I'm at a loss as to what more I can do and I truly regret purchasing two of these "alarm" clocks that are almost useless in that respect. One thing I'm fairly sure of now, is that it's reliability has got much worse over time. It went from being an occasional problem when it first happened, to something that now seems to happen more often than not.

As mentioned previously, I'll gladly test some of the Version 2.0 Smart Clocks for you if you'd consider exchanging these.

So far mine has been working correctly. I'll update if that changes.

Hi, this issue still exists. This also includes the sound for the timer function too. Please advise when patch/fix will be applied.

My paperweight continues to alarm - silently!

Cancel that, did it again today. No sound, just a clock that says the alarm is sounding. Like a Mime in a box!

Finally fixed mine by replacing it with a Nest Hub.  This is the second major issue I've experienced with these that makes them useless as an alarm clock.

My daughter just told me today her alarm didn't go off. It's hit and miss. The alarm worked yesterday.

How many different hardware revisions are out there?

Definitely more "miss" than "hit" for me at the moment... I'm still having issues.

I was wondering if perhaps there's been any hardware revisions that might explain why a number of this have the issue. I noticed yesterday there's a model number on the base of both of mine.

Model Number: CD-24501F

That's an original Lenovo Smart Clock (as opposed to Version 2, and the Essentials) device purchased/used in the UK - I wondered if there are any different models out there?Maybe even one that works! :-)

The reason I've been reluctant to exchange mine is that I always assumed it was a firmware/software issue thatwould eventually be fixed. Of course if I get the same model again, then there's every chance I'll just end up back at square one.
