I definitely second the feature requests to have 'Home View' like the Home Hub and the ability to remotely view the camera (like video Duo call) without needing sometone to answer at my house.

According this article, audio group support is coming to to Lenovo Smart Display.

It'd be nice to have these features:
-play videos from Google photo albums
-ability to enable or disable picture's and video's geotag location and date

Also, everyone should take the time to submit this same feedback by swiping up on your display. It's all about user feedback numbers.

Better integration with Logitech Harmony Hub. Current integration allows me to turn my TV on/off, mute, volume up/down, pause, play, etc using VOICE commands. However, the on screen options are limited to turn on/off. It would be nice to have more on screen options to basically turn it into a remote control, which is what the Harmony app on your smartphone does. So it would be cool to have the smart display have similar functionality. I have the Smart Display on a side table in my living room, so it would make for a fantastic additional remote for my entertainment center.

I'd like to see a way to turn off the screen while playing YOuTube or YouTube music. I like to listen to rain and thunderstorm sounds on YOutube at night. Currently I use blutooth to send to a Google HOme mini (as google won't allow the casting of youtube to an audio only device like a google mini or chromecast audio).  But that's kind of a hacky solution in my opinnion. I really would like to use this as a bedside tv streaming solution but the inablity to completely turn off the screen is a big drawback to that. There should be a "Turn off screen" command that completely turns off the screen. No clock, no glow no nothing. But it should continue to play a youtube stream even when the screen is off.

Hi, Loving my Smart Display.

my set up in the kitchen is a google home max speaker and a Lenovo smart display as the front end.

all on the same speaker group.

Now the problem

Speaker groups have a separate volume for each speaker.  So when you say turn down or up the speaker that responded turn's itself down not the group.  Also when you press the physical buttons on the smart display it only turns itself up or down.

I know you can change the group volume with the right command. but you have to remember that smart home devices work with will all of the members of the house.  So unless I hold a regular training session for my family they will get frustrated.   especially as the volume up and down works in other parts of the house.

So my request  is

When  Lenovo smart display default speaker is a speaker group.  By default, it should control the group, not itself for all volume commands and the physical buttons.

cheers,

Paul

That's a great idea about the volume.  Seems to me that's more of a Google home request (making one device the volume controller for a home group).  So might be a good idea to also submit such a request to Google product and app forums.

Thanks ... for the advice.

I posted it on google assistant thread,  not 100% sure it's the right place.

I would like to see an option in the Google Home App to turn on or off the new behavior of Google Photos showing two portrait photos side-by-side on the screen.

In Ambient mode, instead of showing up centered, two related pics will display side-by-side. Previously (or currently, if your device hasn't received the feature yet), portrait pics would appear centered with blur around them to fill up the entire surface. Now, two photos will be picked based on having the same person or being taken around the same time or place, and will be shown next to each other.

I prefer to have one photo show at a time, but currently there is no option to revert to the old behavior. Google's algorithm for choosing photos is terrible. More often than not the photos are not related at all. A photo of my son and his homecoming date from last month next to a photo of a mountain in Glacier National Park from two years ago? Not even close, Google!

Just set up my 8" display and was impressed overall, except for one almost insane omission: No bluetooth audio output. It's 2018 folks at Google and Lenovo, how do you produce an AI device that doesn't connect to external bluetooth? The Lenovo speaker is decent but far below audiophile quality. Lenovo and Google, wake up: Make a very good product great by enabling bluetooth audio out...and while you're at it, get Netflix on board!

I would like to see the clock for when it is completely dark as an option to use all the time
