Lenovo Smart display not recognising requests - Again!

I tried resurrecting the thread from last month but couldn't post, maybe because it is marked as solved. 

 

Anyhow, it seems the issue has returned. Really annoying to have to repeat myself several times before it recognises my requests. 

 

I am in the UK. 

 

Version: 12.15.9+prod. 1.1.0.5594696, 10inch version.

Lenovo Smart Display suddenly struggling to understand anyone after working fine for months

My Lenovo ZA3R has been working perfectly for about 9 months now (apart from the odd inexplicable wifi disconnecton).

 

As of yesterday it's been strugging to understand anyone. It ocassionally get it right, but is now completely missing or mishearing words.

 

I don't know if it's had a recent software update - current version is 9.18.11+prod.1.1.0.5447229, and as far as I tell the microphones are blocked (is there anyway of testing what it is actually hearing)?

 

My Google Home mini's are working fine, so I know it's not my voice that's the issue.

I am having the exact same issue, spoke to the lenovo representative in the UK who was not very helpful, she blame google and their software.

I tried a factory reset.  No change.

 

Can someone from Lenovo point me at the software versions and rollout dates, just to see if the problems correlate with an update?

 

I can find some messages in the forum recently talking about R6 and R7, but I seem to be on R9, so maybe this is a recent update?

I'm having the exact same problem the last week or so too. Reading this gives me hope that this is a software glitch. 

 

Would it be possible to rollback the firmware somehow?

My microphones are not blocked either. 

 

It's jus like, one day it was working fine and now it's not. I'm in the UK BTW.

#command not working

 

Appears the same is happening on our device... intermitently completing voice commands. No challenge with other google home devices, and completed refresh on voice recognition.

 

OK Google registers microphone to engage, command then is not transferred from voice into text... although google bar appears to show recognition of voice command taking place.

 

Have completed factory reset, version 9.18.11+prod.1.1.0.5447229
