Confirming that my device updated sucessfully this morning.    Made no changes to the configuration - just plugged it in every two hours over the weekend to see if it updated sucessfully.   When it did, I was prompted to go through all of the config activities on the phone.  

 

Interestingly, I was *not* prompted to make a decision about duo, a step that had always happened in the past.  So, maybe something with that?

 

Looks like Google fixed it... at least for some of us...

My device was out of the update loop after being left overnight. The new problem is that the smart display is "not available" under the Google Home app, Google Photos for ambient display, voice commands and home device controls work fine on the smart display. Tried reinstalling the Home app and resetting the display.

 

About ~2hrs in when leaving it behind for the update loop, a new "broadcast" buttom popped up on the Home app, didnt go check the display though i think it might have gone out of the loop by then (display was not available on the Home app) .

 

Mine stays in version 14.46.15+prod.1.1. O.5758670 even after resetting again and no update was required.

Update on my issue. After approx 14 hours in the constant loop it finally updated. Had to remove device from my home after to get it to link properly but finally have it working.

 

After reading everyones fixes it seems to me that repetition and luck is the only way to get it running, so maybe just leave it updating perpetually and see if it eventually gets there.

 

Regarding changing the settings, room placement, etc; seems like once you connect it to an internet connection it starts updating rendering the option choices inconsequential to its success? Regardless, good luck to everyone still stuck in the loop, hopefully google had it fixed soon.

Is this only happening on new out of the box devices? I have owned my Lenovo 10" for over a year and don't think its updated once in the last 6 months. I have been holding out for bluetooth audio out to external speakers for months now and check my firmware monthly. No changes on either display or clock.

 

I turned on the preview software hoping for something new but so far nothing. The Lenovo smart clock did receive continued conversation but w/o a firmware or cast version change.

I have been resetting and unpluging and plugging this thing in and going through proceedures, I am still stuck in update mode. I have sent the device in 2 times now for service, screen stopped working, got it back still didn't work. got it back now its stuck in update mode. I have tried various set up combos and have lost my way. 

 

I have a lenovo display In the bedroom and 2 wifi plugs from costco. everything works great except this unit stuck in update

 

PLEASE HELP

This is probably an isolated issue since this was fixed for most users.

 

To confirm, can you please share your firmware version?

 

Could you also submit feedback via your device using #update loop
