hi Miguel,

would love to see the ability to control equaliser / bass / treble like you can with the standard Google Home and Home Mini, that would make the speakers on the Lenovo a killer feature.

1) Ability for Youtube and YoutubeTV to have their full home menus for touch screen selection as an option as voice commands often don't get you to where you need to go including recordings or older episodes of shows. Some shows won't play even though I watch them all the time.

2) An on screen keyboard for search within each app or at least at the home screen for selection.

Skype and Whtsapp calling

I don't know a single person who uses Duo, and given the lifespan of Google messaging services my family will never use one again, however good they may be.

1. Enable USB port for charging

2. Reduce flickering of ambient light sensor

3. More gradual change of volume at low levels

(1 is muted and 2 is too loud at night)

4. Allow repositioning of clock in dark mode

(Hard to see on bedside table)

5. Something other than ''hey google"

6. Continued conversations (essential!)

7. Coffe percolator :)

I know some of these are Google side, but they are more likely to listen to Lenovo than me!

@MR-Bond

1) It doesn't have USB port

5) It's either Hey Google or OK Google

6) Continue Conversation is in the Google Home setting, check the app

@Miguel

1) Custom interface like a tile-display for Google Home devices like stauts and toggles

2) Ability to activate the camera and use like Nest Cam on demand. Why waste a camera for calls only?

While continued conversation is indeed a setting in the Google Home app, it is not yet enabled on the Lenovo Smart Display.

The device does indeed have a USB-C port on the bottom, underneath the rubber foot.  Not sure why someone would want to use that for charging, but it's there.

but does not Lenovo use the Google Assistant settings? I do not understand why he only uses English (US). I particularly have 2 Google Homes and the 2 speak Portuguese and I was super disappointed with Lenovo not talking. I'm even thinking about selling it because of this, although I really like it and believe it will be an excellent device in the future

"The device does indeed have a USB-C port on the bottom, underneath the rubber foot."

Oops, thought it was behind the back panel!

So hardware V2 requests:

1. USB powered (power bricks should be banned!)

2. USB charging ports (it's a hub)

Honestly I love the physical design, the screen is superb and speaker is up to the job so hardware is solid.

AMEN on the power brick. You have this pretty sleek-looking device, that many people will have on a kitchen counter (I do), and you have to have this huge ugly plug sticking out like a sore thumb. I actually plugged mine into a flat plug extension cable, and hid the power brick behind the device.

Re: Feature Requests

Put my feature request here as well

Hi, I like the Smart Display so much. But there is situation I would like to protected my Smart Display from being used the speaker as toy of my son, say watching Youtube.

Is there way which I can disable the touch screen with screen off or just work as a read only Photo Frame with speaker still playing music and listen to my command.

I would like to make it work as a TV with chromcast connected.

Actually, I would like to have a feature which can disable the touch input and simply display the album art of current playing music / photo frame / screen off / big flipping clock. I don't really want my kid can play anything directly with their touch input.

I hope the feature can be implemented.

Many thx
