Re:Tab M10 unable to install Amazon apps

@LimingSong, At least tell us what the latest software version we should be running with the fix. Anyone running their 505 without issue, can you please post what software patch you're using. This limited feature tablet will be going back into the box shortly, returning to Lenovo for a full refund unless I get some answers and fixes. There should be no reason why a thread like this is open. Come on!

agreed when i buy something i expect it to work and it seems like this problem has been going on for 6+ months.  i'm also having trouble with different game apps and facebook, not major but for someone who plays games frequently it gets aggravating.  wonder how long before there's a response from a lenovo worker??

I guess he figures "No news is NO news" Need now to call Lenovo for a return label and another tab elsewhere.

If the 190920 really is a date code, then we don't have the fixed December version. However, 20 could be the year. Any direction @limingsong ? I don't think that actually tags them haha

Has anyone figured out a new work-around for this? We bought my mom a new tablet to replace her dying one, and half the reason for it is use of streaming services. Prime not working takes away a big chunk of it's entire purpose for us. (Not to mention the annoyances with disappearing home screen icons, and games absolutely refusing to connect to Facebook.)

Wow how hard is this problem to fix? Lenovo, every cheap, nothing tablet can install apps from Amazon... Why can't yours? I spoke to customer service and opened up a case. They said they didn't know about this issue; I said, do you want the 11 page posting on YOUR forum with your customers complaining about it - didn't seem to care so they forwarded me on to their software division. Their software wanted to immediately charge me for troubleshooting their faulty device - can you believe that?. That's were I was shocked, angered, frustrated and promptly hung up! Before, I used to highly recommend Lenovo products.. now I'm not too sure when they're blatantly ignoring customer issues with obvious Lenovo problems right now. For the love of God, can someone at least tell me if I'm using the latest software update released that's supposed to fixed this issue?.. how difficult is that?. It still looks like a Sept 20th, 2019 software version my tablet keeps installing.

same here, got the tablet today. returning it now since this issue has been present from last 6+ months and lenovo has not fixed it. but i did found the issue. maybe it can help someone, its amazon assistant thats causing the issue.

i tried installing prime video app using adb and got this error

adb: failed to install prime.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DUPLICATE_PERMISSION: Package com.amazon.avod.thirdpartyclient attempting to redeclare permission com.amazon.appmanager.preload.permission.READ_PRELOAD_DEVICE_INFO_PROVIDER already owned by com.amazon.aa]

com.amazon.aa is the app thats preventing amazon apps from being installed. you can't remove it since its system app. disabling it doesn't work as well.

Re:Tab M10 unable to install Amazon apps

Lynxs_claw, disappointedtab1m and others, I had a similar issue installing Amazon Prime Vide on my M10 HD running TB-X505F_S001032_190920_ROW.

No new version available OTA.

I found the LMSA (Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant) tool and installed it on my Windows 10 laptop.

I hooked up my tablet to my laptop, but in the Flash tab, no new upgrade was found.

However, there was a Rescue image available for my product M10 HD, model X505F and HW code 70 (found on the sticker on the back of the tablet).

Image name is TB-X505F_USR_S001035_191231...

I flashed that image successfully, tablet is now running TB-X505F_S001035_191231_ROW and I was able to install successfully Amazon Prime Video.

I hope this helps some of you.
