@jemassilia ,

Awesome answer from a non-Lenovo employee at that.

At least some direction that makes sense.

Thank you ..thank you.. thank you.

I'm going to jump on a desktop PC here soon and give you kudos for this suggestion!!!!!

Re:Tab M10 unable to install Amazon apps

Thank you Jemassilia!!!!!!!

I tried this but never went into the rescue part of the Moto Smart program.

For all those who need a step by step process of what to do here:

Get yourself to a pc and hook up your tab to it using usb

Go pull down the Moto Smart program and install it to your pc.

Download from here:

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds101291

or here:

https://help.motorola.com/hc/apps/service/lmsa44/en-us/index.html?t=CGT1908244451

Note you do not have to go into Developer's Mode here at anytime for this solution.

Once the Moto program is installed on your PC go to the FLASH tab and select "Rescue".  Pick your Tab 10 HD as Jesmassila mentioned and select your model and your serial number suffix.

Then download your file and follow the instruction to flash your tablet (all your information on the tab will be erased).  Click on the Rescue button and keep following those instructions exactly.

It did actually load the DECEMBER 2019 software version (not the SEPTEMBER 2019) that allows me to load all the Amazon apps.  Yippee!

Thank you Jemassilia again for the fix, it is shameful that the Lenovo techs could not have come up with this solution.  Let's hope they at least fix the OTA to load the latest software version for future customers that purchase this product

Hopefully Jemassilia's and my instructions can help others that reach their way here to this post find a quick solution to this problem.

You are welcome Lynxs_claw, I am glad it worked for you as well.

Good job on the step-step-step guide, I am sure others will appreciate the additional details you gave for the flashing process.

I'm glad there's some kind of run-around, but unfortunately I don't have this kind of access to a computer. They need to fix this ridiculous problem ASAP.

I messed up the installation and now my tablet keeps on restarting.  Any idea how to fix? Tried holding down the power button and nothing can stop this restarting loop....

Nevermind, I played around and held the volume up and power button to power it back off then restarted the process and got it to work.  Now that i have the latest software version I'm able to install amazon apps! Finally!  Thanks for all of your help!  Shame on lenovo employees for not coming up with a solution.

Good news DisappointedTabM, I am glad you got it to work with the latest version. It is also good to know that even if it fails the first time you got it into infinite loop, you were still able to flash this Recovery image.

KMatney, sorry to hear you do not have access to a Windows 7 or 10 computer. I hope Lenovo will fix their OTA update process.

Doesn't work for me. Plug it in, holding Vol+ button. As soon as I click OK, it says FINISHED. Fire up the tablet and nothing has changed. Am I missing something?

PapaDeltaMike, if I remember correctly, you need to keep pressing the volume+ even after you click OK, and release it only when the flashing process starts. My first 2 tries, nothing happened, it is on my 3rd try that the flashing process started.
