Once the P10 tablet is used in a smart dock, it will never wakeup from sleeping after it is removed from the dock. The tablet must be restarted. If a factory reset is performed, sleep/wakeup works until it is connected to the smart dock. A dock reset does not help.
The default timeout is 5 minutes of inactivity to go to sleep but it can be reduced to 15 seconds for testing. or the power putton can be pressed and quickly released.
Lenovo support said it an operating system problem and gave me a Google number to call. Once I indicated it was not a Google device, Google hung up. I think it is a smart dock software problem. My tablet upgraded to Android 9 and the problem remained.
Does anyone else have the problem or know of a solution?

I find this tablet really buggy and ours occasionally goes into deep suspension and need to hold down the power button for about 18 seconds to turn it off and restart it.
