I have an IdeaPad U310 that needs an HDD replacement, the old disc still works but is dying so I'll use a new drive with same capacity (500 GB) and I'd like to leave as in factory status as possible but I see this is no easy task.
I wonder if I can do the following to achieve this:
- Format the new drive with OKR8 Engineer
- Use the Windows "copy recovery partition to USB" function to copy recovery from the old drive
- Install Windows in new drive using this USB and then create an imagen of this installation in the recovery partition
Alternatively I wonder is this would be easier by cloning the old drive.
Can you please advise? Thanks!
