Color calibration will not save - Ideapad U410 w/ Windows 7

2013-01-10, 21:19 PM

Hi, I just got this system and out of the box the color calibration is red-tinted and washed out. I have tried multiple times to set a new color calibration and it will not save; it keeps re-setting to the default. I tried calibrating through color management and saving my calibrated profile as the default profile, to no avail, and also tried "graphics properties" in the menu that pops up after right-clicking on the desktop. When I restart my computer, the correct calibrated display is there but is replaced within 15 seconds by the default. Any suggestions? Thanks

Windows 7 calibration is a mess and resets for me too, i use the program in the link below, it calibrates the screen and then keep it from being changed by other programs.

Hi, Thanks for the link. However I tried the calibration wizard twice, running through all the steps, and I wasn't happy with the final calibration; the colors were not true-to-life. I am able to use the Windows calibration accessed through color management, and get a really nice color profile, but it just won't keep.
