Could U330 support 6GB of RAM(3GB * 2)

As my U330 only have 2GB of RAM, I want to buy 3GB*2 to replace the original 2GB.

Some one please tell me whether U330 could support 3GB*2 DDR3?

Thanks!

Re: Could U330 support 6GB of RAM(3GB * 2)

Your U330 utilizes either GM45 or PM45 chipset. And according to Intel, the GM45 and PM45 chipsets support up to 8GB DDR3 memory. However, I have not heard of a single 3GB DDR3 memory module. You can use a 4GB and 2GB combination if you are aiming for 6GB total, but 4GB modules are quite expensive.

\\ I do not respond to PM regarding individual tech support. Keep discussions in the forum for the benefit of others //

Thank you very much!  I think I have to choose 2GB*2 modules as a transition because 4GB modules are really expensive now~
