Fixing touchpad with compressed air duster

2014-01-12, 16:56 PM

Have had my S10-3 for almost 3 years now. Touchpad became sticky and jumpy. Reinstalled Synaptic touchpad drivers, no difference. Restored system to an earlier time, no improvement.

Next day I removed battery. Used a compressed air duster can with tiny nozzle to blow around touchpad crevices. Touchpad behaviour returned to the best!

Just wanted to post this, in case someone else has this problem as these fine machines age!
