HELP! SSD and Rapid Drive on Lenovo U310

Hello Everyone,

I've bought an IdeaPad U310 Intel® CoreTM i7 with a 24 GB SSD + 500 GB HDD and Windows 8 recently. After a few couple of days I've decided to install windows 7 professional on HDD. I am facing an issue on SSD, I can not activate it. The question is how can I turn it on? I am wondering how to get my SSD and Rapid Drive working again.

Thank you in advance!

Re: HELP! SSD and Rapid Drive on Lenovo U310

hi Sergio01,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

So now the system runs on Windows 7 right?

This Guide will surely help you,

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=HT074404

Since you  just install the OS, i think you will be getting the error

  1. "'eccmd.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

(This means that ExpressCache is not installed. Refer to the Solution section of this document.)

Try installing this Software and follow the solution part on the guide.

Best Regards

Solid Cruver

Re: HELP! SSD and Rapid Drive on Lenovo U310

hi Sergio01,

Try going to Control Panel / Power Options / Change Plan Settings on your selected power plan / Change advanced PC Settings,

You will then get to this screen.

Technically sleep should go first since the hibernate Saves everything to your HDD then powers off

What you can do on this screen is set how long Hibernate will trigger when the system goes to sleep.

Best Regards
