My U410 gets really hot so that I can barely touch it. And the fan is not running anymore. I noticed that the fan was working less and less in the last couple of weeks. Additionally, the power led is blinking constantly while the computer is running (Its the same blinking as in standby). This started a few days ago.
The fan is running nicely when I activate the vacuum cleaner option in the settings. So it looks like the temperature detection and the control of the fan are not working properly.
Is there something I can do about this?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Has there anything changed on your unit recently that could`ve caused this issue to appear? Updates and such
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
