IdeaPad s10e Screen Resolution

2009-05-09, 15:04 PM

Hello folks,

I'm having an issue with my IdeaPad S10e Screen Resolution. I can set my Resolution to be 1024x576 Maximum but when I open my Lenovo and Windows is loading I am receiving a message that saying my Screen Resolution is not proper and I will need to fix it, when I click on Fix Automatically, nothing's happened. I guess that I can make the resolution better because there are also some software that require 1024x768 minimum and I am sure they thought about it in Lenovo while developing this tiny computer. Anybody can help me to solve it please?

Thank you very much

Matan.

s10e Screen Resolution Solution

2009-05-09, 18:35 PM

Hardware Screen Resolution yes correct , but otherwise wrong... you can choose virtual resolution...scroll mode...

First Check tick in the windows message  thats nerves for incorrect screen resolution...

Second somewhere on the desktop right click properties--> preferences--> advanced-->monitor-->
uncheck -> Hide modes that this monitor to not be displayed --->accept and ok --> graficcard-->
List all modes ---> scroll to set to 1024x576 True Color (32Bit) 60 Hz... and ok..
from now on you have more resolutions (scrolling mode) over 1024x576 ....
for programs that dont install (These program most needs 800x600 and so on)

Thats the normal setting...

I describe this way here in pictures its translated from german to english (exept the pictures but that doesnt matter the way is the same)

Third you can use this for extra...Program
Netbook Resolution Switch ( Translated Site from german to english)
You can switch to compressed screen resolution like 1024x768  ....
Look here

Not an expert, but my son just got an S10e  (Windows7) and was limited to a 1024 x 576, but after much searching and cursing, stubled on hitting  Fn and F3  a few times and 1024 x 768 appeared on my external monitor and now it seem fine.  Hope this helps others.

Re: s10e Screen Resolution Solution

2011-11-05, 12:33 PM

Does anyone know how to modify the "Windows 7 Res.mod driver" so that the extended resolution 1152×844 can be modified to 1152x648 for Lenovo Ideapad S10e?

I installed the "Windows 7 Res.mod driver" successfully and it works without any problems, but everything looks horizontally stretched as expected because of the different aspect ratio  - 1024:576=1.777777777778 for Ideapad S10e, while 1152:844=1.36, so to get the proper ratio, it must be modified to 1152:1.77777777778=648.

Also, does anybody know how to send an e-mail to k0k0, I just don't get the instructions below:
http://downloads.k0k0.de/-Notes_about_this_area.hint

Please for any help!

Big thanks in advance!!!

Thank you very much, KalvinKlein!
Unfortunately, k0k0 is imposible to be PM-ed because of exceeding the number of his messages :(

Also, I don't speak deutsch.

Do you know any other way to contact him?

Thanks a lot!!!

"Hide modes that this monitor to not be displayed" can not be unchecked on my IdeaPad S10e because it's grey (inactive). So, how to make it active option?
