Ideapad S510p touch - Battery discharging too fast

Hello everyone,

 

I have an Ideapad S510p touch Notebook that i bought just last year.But now since the past 1 or 2 weeks i have noticed that my laptop's battery is getting discharged really fast.Could someone please help me with this.

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

 

To check the battery, can you try and run following:

1. Download and install BatteryCare and post the detailed info on the battery.

   - Sample info

 

2. Open an elevated Command Prompt (press the Windows key‌ Windows logo key+X and choose Command Prompt (Admin))

   - on the command prompt box, type powercfg -energy

   - once It generates the energy-report.html file, move this to your desktop and double click it. It will help if you can post a screenshot of the report or upload it (eg. Dropbox) so we can check if there's an app or a driver running on the background that's eating up power and making the battery drain much faster.

Hi ,

I purchased lenevo s510p in july 2014  .i am facing the battery issue ,in the site you mentioned as it willl give around 5 hours .but it is giving only 2 hours. please solve this issue .i need urjent solution.

FYR i am sending energy file.

have you tried gauge reset? if not than do it from the energy manager application of lenovo.
