Which Linux do you use?

Do you want to make Fn-Key to adjust the brightness of your display?

Koapa:  Try using the following program:

https://github.com/zaius/bright

I set my brightness hotkeys to run this program in my Gnome settings.  It controls the backlight just fine.

Re: Ideapad U350 Fan Control / Speed

Hello!

I have a SU7300 CPU which is 64 bit but my Windows 7 ist 32 bit.

When I want to update with Winphlash.exe (32 bit) and select the 64 bit image I the message "Cannot load driver .....\PHLASHNT.SYS" Please check acc. for admin right. (Of course i executed with "run as administrator".

When I run WinPhlash64.exe and select the default image I get the same error.

Any advice?

Thx so far

If you use 32-bit Windows, then you should do the following:

1) Run Winphlash.exe from 32-bit folder.

2) Click "Flash BIOS" button.

That's all.

You don't need to select BIOS image for flashing because BIOS images in all folders (32-bit and 64-bit) are identical.

If you still get message "Cannot load driver .....\PHLASHNT.SYS", then try to reboot your machine and turn off your antivirus software.

It is unbelievable just how much better has this notebook become after applying

your modified BIOS. U350 finally feels like a complete product.

Thank you very much middleton!
