I just bougth an IdeaPad S540 14-API with AMD, and I'm having a problem with the usb ports.
This laptop has 2 usb 3.0 ports on the right side, I'm using a Logitech mouse (probably USB 2.0) connected to one of those and it's working properly, but when I connect another usb 3.0 device (like my flash drive) on the available port next to it the mouse stops working.
When I remove the flash drive it starts to work again.
So I have an USB 2.0 hub, I connect it to the port then the mouse to the hub and the flash drive USB 3.0 to the other port on the laptop (not on the hub) and everything works fine.
It semms to be a conflict when connecting a USB 2.0 to one port and a USB 3.0 to the other port, but not with the USB 2.0 hub.
Do you have any idea? I updated the bios already to the last version.

Welcome to the community.
Suspect it's just interference. When you relocate things so the Logetich receiver isn't next to a USB 3.0 device, it'll work. It's just for that reason my Logitech receiver is connected via a 6-inch USB extension cable.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for your answer
I separated them in a hub, leaving one port in the middle and they work properly.
It seems I must use the hub to get them to work.
