Issues regarding Keyboard lock?

2009-12-07, 0:16 AM

Third time this week after having the ideapad for 4 days.

The keyboard, all of a sudden, stops to work for no reason. even the sound bar at the right side will not respond; however, the power button does respond. Navigation bars do not work. When clickiing on the caps lock button, no light comes on. What is wrong with this?

I've seen this issue continually.  If I leave the computer unattended for an extended period, the keyboard and touchpad will stop working.  I have to reboot in order to fix it.  I've had this problem with both Vista and Windows 7.  I'm pretty convinced it's a BIOS problem, as this machine (U330) has had BIOS issues since the get-go.  I've named the machine spawn-of-satan in honor of this infamous deficieny.
