Lenovo IdeaPad U330 Touch - Keyboard Problem

Lenovo IdeaPad U330 Touch - Keyboard Problem

I currently have a problem on my keyboard / touchpad. The keys stopped working randomly. And this also affects the screen keyboard of the computer, making the computer almost unusable .

Using a USB connected external keyboard it works well .

I think a connectivity problem . The computer has not suffered shock and symptoms have appeared overnight .

Could you help me.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

Try going into Windows Device Manager and then uninstall the laptop's keyboard.  Once uninstalled, reboot the computer and Windows will automatically reinstall the keyboard and possibly correct the problem.

If you haven't done so already, I would also recommend that you do a clean install of the Touchpad / Keyboard drivers.  Just uninstall them, reboot the computer and then install a fresh copy.  The link below is for the available drivers from Lenovo for your model. Just select your operating system in the top box for the correct driver listing.......

If the problem continues, try going into the BIOS Setup and see if it persists there.  Page #25 of your model's User Guide will explain how to access the BIOS Setup.  Here is link to that guide.....

If the problem continues then it is most likely a hardware issue and it will need additional service.

Hi,

Thank for the response.

"If the problem continues, try going into the BIOS Setup and see if it persists there.  Page #25 of your model's User Guide will explain how to access the BIOS Setup.  Here is link to that guide.....

How can I start the BIOS setup utility? To start the BIOS setup utility:

Shut down the computer.

Press the Novo button and then select BIOS Setup.

I can´t select the BIOS Setup menu because my keyboard doesnt work. Is there another way to reach that menu?

Thanks

If you can not enter the BIOS Setup after pressing the NOVO button because the laptop's keyboard does not work then you have a hardware issue that needs to be looked at by Lenovo Support.
